The houses in that area look relatively nice, so if they come home to this, I feel for their loss… and may the big, fat gubamint check you get somehow compensate!

Yes…Oh d’Horreur! It has happened to me… I cannot believe it. For the last few weeks my MacBook Pro has been acting up, and sure enough, I finally hit “Yes” on the updater and it went to sleep and never woke back up. I held it in my lap as I watched while it fried it’s own little brain to death. The guys at the Genius Bar said there’s nothing left and that it has to go “away” for ten days to get a whole new brain. Ten Days. I can’t just not work for ten unexpected days! So, it looks like I’m getting myself a snazzy newly remodeled MacBook Pro tomorrow… I hate getting first run anything, but I would lose more money in business in those two weeks than it would cost to get a whole new set up.

So it looks like a nifty new MBP for me, the loved one will get my old guy when it gets back from “away”. I might even spring for the Time Capsule so I get the automatic, periodic, wireless backing-up. Either way I am just wishing I were more excited about getting a new computer, but I am having a hard time dealing with what’s lost… it’s been weeks since my last back up. Back Up, People! BACK UP!

I am reporting from my loved one’s Powerbook G4. Tomorrow, my new MacBook Pro. Yeah.

Vote for Obama. Yep. There. I said it. I am deliberately going to tell you what to do. Not sway you with facts, or tug you with tales, and coerce you with figures and statistics. I am going to flat out tell you right up the side of the head, with the least amount of modesty and humility, to please: go vote for Barack Obama. Go. Now. Do it. Don’t think about it, let me do the thinking for you. Just go. Do as I say. Vote for Obama. Make him president and let the world become a better place for a while. Please. Really. It’s the right thing. Obama. ‘08.

Well, our national economy is collapsing by the minute, my bank was chopped up and sold for parts, and Lou has a rash, but beyond that I have gone ahead and created a whole new format for my online apparel and art company. After weeks and weeks of later and later nights of hard and harder work I have finally revamped and relaunched the No Good Designs website as NoGoodz into a new online periodical (or ezine) where I will detail all that I find interesting within this rich tapestry of cultural, creative, culinary, and down right crazy influences that make up this world I call home.

Each week I will be spending my nights writing articles on all of the amazing artists I have had the pleasure to meet (or atleast see their work), all the great shops and restaurants that I have frequented in my travels, and all of the amazingly out-there things I have found all over the internet. So far I have suped the site up with a full compliment of articles, a new shop, a newsletter, a social network, a Facebook and Myspace page, and it’s own Twitter feed. My hopes are that through the releasing of new shirts and pins each week, drumming up interest by drumming out interesting articles, and filling the empty spaces with ads from Google and the like (hint, hint: click some ads people) I will be able to grow this site into a feasible form of passive revenue that will help stave off the growing bills from buying Lou food and toys. You heard me people, I’m telling you to love my new site and fall prey to it’s commercialist whiles so that Lou can be a happier pup. How can you resist?

I will keep this site up and running, albeit slightly less frequent then usual, and move some of my more interesting finds onto the pages of NoGoodz. Come and read and join and enjoy.

Oh, and the NoGoodz Network has…

Please stop fucking changing your damn iPod line and making them all kind of suck. Now I am stuck with that dumb little 8 gig postage stamp fucker and what did you do? You just morphed it back to the multi-colored, rectangle, larger capacity one.

Being a faithful Apple product follower I have come to realize and deal with the fact that you put an automatic killswitch into randomly selected products. I have come to terms with that and understand it is how you keep people buying new schwag every year or so. With 8 out of 10 of your products slowly starting to expire after it’s warranty’s expiration date, I have a personal graveyard full of iMacs and iPods, with only one or two troopers surviving the ages.

But please, just stop this yo-yo-ing of going back and forth from mono-color to multi-color and square to rectangle. If ever a consumer were to get motion-sickness, you are definitely testing the possibility by changing your products dimensionality up and down, left and right. It’s like you have a room full of bi-polar market research executives who are vacillating back and forth between Ritalin and Adderall at the sterring wheel. Cut it out.

Thank you.

It’s been a few weeks since I got a chance to steal away and do a little blog here and a blog there. I have been very, very busy churning out the websites… I’m even starting my own webzine for my clothing company NO GOOD, which I am very psyched about. I fear that it may take away from my blogging up at this spot, but it’ll be worth if it helps rake in the millions.

First and foremost I am very happy to say that Michael and I have joined a cult. Just kidding, but we might as wel have. We met through someone who was trying to hook up with someone else and that someone was standing near some one who needed a cigarette a whole troupe of new friends that Michael and I just adore. Liseth, Joseph, and Jimmy (ladies first, but with these three it’s a toss up) are our new pals… they hail from the Northeast as well and are such a scream! We love them, they love us, it’s all love and that’s great. I’m so happy to have a pile of people I can call “motherfukers” to their faces and they don’t flinch an inch, cuz over here in the Southest Westest motherfukers are just too sensitive. For reals.

Other than that I had to do a little stock photo research for a client, and if anyone has been an avid reader of this blog (all two of you) then you know I love to highlight the weirdest and oddest of the randomness that comes out of my searches. So without further ado, another installment of Stocking Mad, an expose on the crazy stuff photographers think people will pay money to use. This time I searched for “women clothes shopping”… enjoy!

These last two weeks have been great as we had two friends come and visit us from the Northeast. The first, John Donges (or “The Johnges”) visited for a few days, and Kin (Miss Wan if you’re nasty) visited for the rest. I’ve known these two for, “like,” ever, but whereas John and I have always been in contact in the usual online/on-phone ways, Kin and I just recently re-connected over the last few months through the same variety of media: Facebook, Myspace, Text Message, and cell phone chats.

The really amazing thing about this last week is it really shows how timeless true friendship and connections can be. “Ain’t no mountain high enough, ain’t no valley low enough.” Although Kin confessed she worried for a minute before we got her at the airport “What if we’ve changed too much to hang out for a whole week after all of this time?” the conclusion of that confession was that after all these years we are still the same damn people.

The other amazing thing was that one of them ferried over this great nation a microbe I thought I had long left behind, the dreaded Ragweed spore. I know this little stowaway survived the flight because sure enough, just like every early April in Philadelphia, my left eye has swollen up shut. But it’s almost September. I look like I’ve been punched in the eye. By a microscopic fungii with a big fat fist.

But it is a small price to pay to reconnect with old friends and find new connections with new ones as we all discovered things about my new home, San Diego. Sometimes showing others something can make you appreciate it so much more than seeing it for yourself.

So, in conclusion, this has been a great few weeks punctuated with a big puffy eye thanks to Facebook, Myspace, and Verizon… ahh social networking: How did we ever live without you?
